Share Your Perspectives
Everyone has different experiences, backgrounds, insights, opinions, and beliefs about race and equity.
We invite Arlingtonians across the County to share their views by participating in a short assessment. The questionnaire’s responses will help our community understand potential areas of opportunities for advancing race and equity in our community.
Help Build Dialogue
Addressing race and equity are large societal issues that require all of us — residents, government, businesses, nonprofits, faith partners, and community organizations — to come together to identify gaps and opportunities for change.
We’re proud to partner with Challenging Racism to facilitate these conversations — learn and explore together. We’ll not only discuss where are right now as a County and community but also, more importantly, where we are going. The greater the participation, the greater the chance we have in making the most impactful change in our community and beyond.
Over the next 60 days we will have three different types of virtual dialogues:
DRE in Your Community
Sign up for a DRE in Your Community session. These small, interactive virtual conversations offer individual residents an opportunity to participate in facilitated conversations with neighbors to learn and engage on racial tensions and concerns in Arlington County.
- The next sessions is on Wed. Dec. 9, @ 6 PM
Arlington civic associations, nonprofits, faith partners, and businesses are invited to join as DRE Together Partners. As a DRE Together Partner you will:
- Participate in 3-hour DRE Together facilitation training
- Host at least two 2-hour interactive conversations within your own organization
- Share key emerging themes from your interactive conversations
Additionally, DRE Together Partners receive both facilitation and participant discussion guides.

DRE in your Neighborhood (Coming Soon)
We are neighbors, family, and friends. And the conversations we’re having are important. Currently, we’re developing a toolkit to make it easier for residents to have their own conversations about race and equity in their homes or among friends and family.
