This new tool is a map view of mostly County government projects happening around Arlington. Projects can be filtered by type and status. You also can look up projects based on an address or by civic association.
More about how the tool works:
- Addresses in and around Arlington produce the best results.
- Some smaller-scale projects may not be included.
- Most projects are removed from this map once they’ve been complete for one year.
- The map is updated several times a day.
The My Arlington – Projects map brings together data from a variety of sources:
- Planning and Projects website, including development and site plan data
- Open Data portal
- Staff in departments who input daily work
Daily Work
Daily work includes County street projects, such as paving and sewer work happening that day. If a scheduled project for that day is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the cancellation won’t be reflected on this map. Daily street work is also provided to Waze in an effort to help you navigate our streets.
Private Development
On this map, private development includes submitted, approved, under construction and recently completed site plan projects. Additional forms of private development will be included in the future. (The map generally doesn’t include by-right development.) View more approved, under construction and completed site plan projects.
What’s Next?
Over the coming months, we’ll be improving My Arlington and adding more content and places that can be viewed and filtered. To help us plan future improvements, share your feedback.
In addition, the My Arlington mobile app is available for download and includes project information — as well as County information related to events, real estate, permits, news and more. [App Store | Google Play]
